About Our Auction
Our 2021 Children's Virtual Art Auction features 5 pieces of art created by our CASA children, with the support and guidance of their assigned CASA Advocate. They have the handprints and heart-prints of the children CASA serves and are perfect reflections of the beauty inside of each CASA Child.
**Be sure to scroll DOWN on each image to read the description of the art piece and the child who created it! Our sweet children deserve ALL the glory for their excellence in creating these pieces!
Thank you to Ward Furniture & Flooring for making this auction possible!
About CASA of Walker County
CASA's mission is to provide trained, court-appointed volunteer advocates to all of the abused and neglected children in the custody of CPS from our area. CASA of Walker County has been providing services to the area since 2005 and currently serves 100% of the foster children in Walker, San Jacinto, & Trinity Counties.
CASA of Walker County recruits, trains, supervises, and supports volunteers to work as guardians ad litem for abused children in the state foster care system. These volunteer advocates visit the children and communicate with the professionals who work with them (therapists, doctors, teachers, CPS workers, foster parents, etc.) and then make recommendations to the court. Advocates meet with their assigned children and their caregivers at least once a month and collaborate with the mentioned professionals. The primary goal of the advocate is to find a safe, permanent home for the child he/she is appointed to as quickly as possible.
