About Our Auction

Charity Gift 2015 - A Charity Netrunner ID Auction Tournament

Welcome to the events page for the (hopefully) inaugural Charity Gift tournament, a Christmas Charity ID Auction tournament for Android Netrunner.

This tournament is intended as a relaxed, casual event after the stresses of Store Champs, Regionals, Nationals around Europe and Worlds, and an opportunity for us to make a donation to a charity here in Sheffield which provides over the Holiday period for a huge number of seriously ill children.

**What's the Cause**

100% of the total entry fee raised by the ID Auction will be donated directly to the Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity (details here http://www.tchc.org.uk/) and is a fully registered charity event with the hospital.

**The ID Auction**

To enter this tournament, rather than paying a fee and turning up with your decks on the day, things are going to be running a little differently.

Using the online silent auction site 32auctions.com, I'll be listing a series of ID pairings, runner and corp, over the month leading up to the tournament. To enter the tournament, you simply have to win one of these auctions, but you must play those IDs that you won on the day as your corp and runner factions.

The tournament will have only 32 maximum players (which is a constraint of the venue), which means all 29 Corp IDs (with 3 repeats) and all 24 Runner IDs (with 8 repeats) through to Data & Destiny will be represented in these pairings. Once an auction has been won, either a JustGiving donation, or a cash donation on the day for the amount of the winning bid will be your entry fee.

In the event that Data & Destiny isn't out by the date of the tournament (It has to be, right?), players who win the D&D IDs will be allowed to proxy any cards from that expansion at the tournament.

About Charity Gift

For the fourth year running, this year I'll be organising, hosting and judging the annual Charity Gift Netrunner Tournament held here in Sheffield.

For the past three years, we've managed to raise over £5,000 between the three events, and my hope is that this years event will be the biggest ever. The Netrunner community has been amazing and supportive of this venture and I'm hopeful this will be another amazing event.
