About Our Auction

The Art4India! auction is an online silent auction to raise funds to support the Covid relief efforts of grassroots organizations, particularly by frontline women, who are part of a network of NGOs under the Ekta Parishad movement of India.

Art for India! is being organized by the Mahatma Gandhi – Next Generation Leaders (MG-NGL) initiative, a youth affiliate of a charitable organization called the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Council of Ottawa (MGPC), based in Ottawa, Canada.

Local Canadian artists have contributed a selection of their paintings on a particular Indian motif of general appeal, that will be auctioned for a specific period of time. There may be more auction rounds to come.

Funds raised by this particular auction will be collected by the International Gandhian Institute for Nonviolence and Peace Canada (see: www.iginpcanada.org), a non-profit organization based in Toronto, Canada.

For this particular auction, proceeds from the online fundraising auction will be distributed via IGINP Canada to support the Covid-relief efforts of grass-roots organizations that are part of Ekta Parishad, including the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram located in India, a highly reputable NGO that focuses its work in rural India.

BIDDING CONTRIBUTIONS FROM CANADA AND THE U.S. CAN ONLY BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS AUCTION.
