Cedar Springs Homeschool Science Olympiad Team

The Cedar Springs Science Olympiad Team has been preparing for Regional and State Tournaments in hopes of reaching Nationals since October 2014. On April 11th, they achieved their goal by winning the TN State Tournament and now move on to the National Tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska. With this win comes significant cost and that’s where you can help.

The Cedar Springs team is made up of 13 students and 3 coaches. Students compete in 20 events that include launching rockets, programming robots, designing experiments, and taking exams in a specific field of science. Students learn critical problem solving strategies, such as how to design a wheeled vehicle to go around an obstacle and the best way to use forensics to solve a crime. All these events give exposure to the field of science and engineering and foster a love for learning.

We need to raise $15,000 for this trip and all money raised from this auction will go towards that amount.
