Holiday Auction for Healthy Kids & Families

This auction is to support the work of the Coalition for Healthy School Food. The Coalition for Healthy School Food (CHSF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that introduces plant-based foods and nutrition education in schools to educate the whole school community about the health, environmental, and social justice issues of our food choices. Since COVID-19 began, we transitioned to virtual programming and to "Take Away" Family Dinners, where we get donated food and provide it to families at our partner schools.

HUNGRY KIDS NEED HEALTHY FOOD

The Coalition for Healthy School Food (CHSF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that promotes plant-based foods and nutrition education in schools, to teach the whole school community about the effect of our food choices on health, the environment, equity, and other social justice issues.

At the Coalition for Healthy School Food, we believe that Hungry Kids Need Healthy School Food. That's why we partner with the New York City Office of Food and Nutrition Services, and other school districts to add healthy plant-based items to the cafeteria menus. But that's not enough. We work to educate the whole school community: the students, parents, teachers, teacher assistants, administrators, and food service workers. We also create educational resources and do outreach through statewide and national conferences.
