As the Bronx and neighboring communities felt the surge of this pandemic, eventually growing into the hardest-hit population in the nation, CHAM leadership responded at a rapid pace and shifted its operation to accommodate the influx of adult patients sick with COVID-19. We transformed pediatric floors into adult units, leveraged staff across the health system, and drove promising investigations to find treatments and cures.
