About Our Auction

Buffaloes of Boulder is a Downtown Boulder Community Initiatives (DBCI) project as part of an ongoing commitment to enhance the downtown district landscape for locals and visitors alike. Artists from the Boulder community were invited to create works of art on a buffalo shape (made of plywood) which will be on display throughout the summer in planters and in front of businesses throughout the downtown district.

Welcome to the month-long Buffalo Auction for the public to take these gorgeous specimens home. Proceeds will be split (50/50) between the artists and DBCI.

Buffaloes are created on 3/4 inch plywood, most have been prepared to be exhibited outside. They measure around 32" tall and 46" wide.

**PLEASE NOTE: City of Boulder Sales tax (8.845%) must be paid on all winning bids. Because the auction site does not have the capability to add sales tax to winning bids, DBCI will be sending a separate invoice for the sales tax calculated from the winning price.
