30th Annual Feather Our Nest

From Friday, October 23rd through Thursday, November 5th, the Friends of Briar Bush will begin its 30th annual Feather Our Nest Fundraiser. Our focus this year is supporting local businesses and businesses with a similar mission.

This event allows guests to support Friends of Briar Bush programs from the comfort and safety of their homes. With your help, these programs will be able to flourish and meet the changing needs of the greater Abington area.

Since 1974, the Friends of Briar Bush has been inspiring people to celebrate nature by welcoming everyone into our museum, bird observatory, pond, and trails.

The past year has been an exciting time at Briar Bush. Funding from supporters like you has enabled us to offer an increased number of affordable programs for groups and families alike. This year’s highlights are:

- The FOBB’s Scholarship Fund’s success allowed us to provide over 80 classroom programs and 11 weeks of camp for families and children in need.
- Family Nature Night, a program for children with sensory processing disorders, now features Forest Therapy Sessions and a certified Occupational Therapist on-site to support staff and families.
- We continued to host two annual festivals and began monthly Weekend Walks. Both are FREE for the community in an effort to encourage families to spend more time out in nature.
