About Our Auction

Follow the wool as it is sheared from Billings Farm's sheep, washed and carded, spun and dyed and then woven into a beautiful scarf by Billings Farm's fiber experts. At the end of the process, the lucky auction bidder will win this handmade scarf. Bid on other creations handmade by Billings Farm's talented interpreters. All proceeds support Billings Farm & Museum, and our mission to inspire all generations through shared stories of Vermont’s rural culture and our continued practice of responsible agriculture.

About Billings Farm & Museum

Billings Farm & Museum (BF&M) is dedicated to “Inspiring and engaging generations through shared stories of Vermont’s rural culture and our continued practice of responsible agriculture.” Established in 1983, BF&M is a fully operational dairy farm that continues a 149-year tradition of agricultural excellence. As the premier gateway for interpreting Vermont’s rural culture and farming heritage, Billings Farm offers diverse, interactive programs onsite through its farm, 19th-century Farm Life exhibit, restored 1890 Farm Manager’s House, heirloom and educational gardens, Academy Award nominated film, A Place in the Land, and Learning Kitchen. Billings Farm at Home, our online resource, offers activities, crafts, videos and recipes that extend the onsite experience. Whether onsite or online, BF&M offers daily programming and special events featuring fiber and visual arts; culinary arts; traditional seasonal celebrations; historic games, crafts and informational presentations led by our interpretive staff; and multi-faceted interpretive explorations of our working farm.
