Breakfast with Champions 2022

Special Olympics Calgary's annual Breakfast with Champions is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.

By participating in this Silent Auction, you support our fundraising goal, but most importantly, you are giving our athletes the opportunity to achieve their Sport and Life Goals.

As one of our major fundraising events, this event provides essential funding for athletic programs that fosters self-esteem, and allows our athletes to make new friends while realizing their full athletic potential.

Special Olympics Calgary is a volunteer driven registered charity, with the mission to enrich the lives of Albertans with an intellectual disability through sport. Our weekly sport programs focus on our athletes’ abilities, not their disability.

Special Olympics is in the community every day of the year! Over 850 athletes, with support and coaching from more than 300 volunteers, participate in 21 different summer and winter sports here in Calgary.

Special Olympics Calgary relies on the generosity of individuals, groups, corporations and special events to operate, as we receive no direct government funding to sustain our operations. 76% of our annual operating budget is raised through generous donations right here in Calgary. Currently, we require approximately $700,000 yearly to cover the costs associated with programming. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will directly help us to achieve this goal.
