About Our Auction

In celebration of 30 years of Literacy education in Eagle County, we are calling on you to help us make a bigger impact than ever before. Our Annual Luncheon typically raises $25,000 to fund the critical literacy programs we provide to English language learners of all levels in our community. This year, we are hoping to push that goal to $30,000 to help further support our learners during these unprecedented times. We have an anonymous donation of $15,000 so let's come together to raise another $15,000 through the auction to reach this goal!

In lieu of our luncheon, we've put together a fabulous online auction with 100% of proceeds directly funding our programming. We invite you to support our mission by bidding on these exciting experiences and sought-after items. Many thanks in advance for your generosity!

About Literacy Project of Eagle County

We believe everyone deserves the chance to read well, speak well and live well. The Literacy Project of Eagle County is a non-profit 501c3 organization that provides all levels of English language tutoring to adults and children through volunteerism and financial support. Adult, Middle School, and Family & Children programs are available FREE.

Our programs are based on the whole language philosophy of teaching, which emphasizes individualized lesson plans based on social needs and using real life materials such as newspapers and job applications. Students set their own education and life goals, which may include securing a job, getting a driver’s license, and reading to their children.

Instruction is practical, relevant to each student’s life and capitalizes on life experiences and knowledge.
