Dad's Club Swim Team, which began in 1948, is one of the nation's most established swimming organizations and is nationally recognized for its rich tradition of swimming excellence and innovative programs offered to its membership. Novice swimmers through Olympians are exposed to an exciting and challenging training environment where individuals strive to reach their fullest physical and mental potential, and fulfill their competitive dreams.

Team spirit, positive self-image, self-descipline and good sportsmanship are just a few of the important qualities that the swimmers of the Dad's Club are known for. The Dad's Club tradition of excellence is well documented. Six Olympians, over 25 swimming representing International Teams, and 76 USA National qualifiers highlight the club's elite level achievements. At the state and regional levels numerous USA Junior National finalists and qualifiers, as well as several high school record holders were developed in the program.

In the early 1970s the 50-meter pool at Dads Club was one of the first Olympic-sized pools to be built in Houston — with funds raised by community members who were dedicated to giving all swimmers the opportunity to train in a state-of-the-art pool.

Fast forward four decades, and our beloved pool has become the heart of Dads Club. She is home to the swim team, swim lessons, therapy, local school teams, Red Cross training, Boy Scout merit badge work, triathlon swim training, masters swimming, and Special Olympics team.
