This remarkable, one-of-a-kind yandi has been individually hand carved and crafted by respected Noongar cultural storyteller Derek Nannup.

Derek has shared that yandis were traditionally used to carry babies, giving this special piece a deeply meaningful connection to the Miracle Babies Foundation and the families supported through its work.

Created especially for the Yanchep Inn Charity Ball, this unique artwork brings together culture, craftsmanship and purpose. The successful bidder will take home an exceptional hand-carved piece while helping support premature and sick newborns, their families and the vital services provided by Miracle Babies Foundation.

Following the incredible success of last year’s Charity Ball, where together we raised $12,007.50 for Miracle Babies Foundation, the team at Yanchep Inn is delighted to be hosting this special event once again.

The Social Season: A Promenade Ball will be held on Saturday, 22 August 2026, in the beautiful and atmospheric Cabaret Cave at Yanchep National Park.

The Charity Ball is organised and hosted by Yanchep Inn, with funds raised through the event and its auctions donated to Miracle Babies Foundation. Guests will enjoy an elegant evening including a three-course meal, beverage package, entertainment and silent auctions, all while helping us raise as much as possible for this important cause.

Miracle Babies Foundation supports families of premature and sick newborns across Australia, providing practical assistance, guidance and connection during an incredibly difficult time.

We look forward to welcoming our guests for an evening of grace, generosity and celebration, as Yanchep Inn once again brings the community together in support of Miracle Babies Foundation.

 Important Bidding Information 

Online bidding will close at 6:00 pm on Saturday, 22 August, shortly before the Charity Ball begins. 

The highest online bid will then become the opening bid for the silent auction held during the event. Bidding will continue in person throughout the evening, before concluding with a live auction. 

You do not need to attend the Charity Ball to bid online. However, online bidders will not be able to place further bids once the online auction closes, so please place your strongest bid to give yourself the best chance of remaining the highest bidder. 

The final successful bidder will be determined at the conclusion of the in-person auction.
