About Our Auction

At World Vision, we have collaborated with Lorraine Loots, a miniaturist painter from South Africa who has created three miniature masterpieces. Lorraine has painted images of real people reached through World Vision’s food assistance programs on tiny grains.

Her distinctive artworks have previously reached values of up to US$2,450. Through Lorraine’s partnership with World Vision, you now have the opportunity to own one of her artworks – and make a difference. These unique paintings on tiny grains of food represent how every donation – no matter how small – makes a big impact for hungry children.

The three grains will be put up for auction to raise awareness and funds for our tax-time appeal. Through our partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme, donations can be multiplied up to 10 times to deliver vital food assistance to hungry children and families.

Last year, we helped over 1 million people through this appeal. This year, proceeds will go towards helping children in eight countries, including those affected by the Syria Crisis and the East Africa Hunger Crisis.

Please note that the miniature masterpiece are not considered tax deductible as you will receive a framed artwork and plaque with your purchase.
