About World Child Cancer

We believe that every child with cancer, wherever they live in the world, should have equal access to the best possible treatment and care.

World Child Cancer supports children with cancer and their families worldwide. We are often asked the questions, "why childhood cancer?" and why "childhood cancer in the developing world?" The answer is that we believe that every child with cancer, wherever they live in the world, should have equal access to the best possible treatment and care. With early diagnosis and proper treatments around 80% of children survive cancer in the developed world. Tragically, this number is closer to 10% in developing countries. We believe this inequity is fundamentally wrong. Fortunately, treating childhood cancer can be much less expensive in developing countries: $1,000 can save the life of a child in Mexico.

We are supporting 9 programs across Africa, Asia, and central America. All of these countries face huge challenges trying to help children with cancer. We work closely with dedicated and skilled professionals in each of our partner countries who drive the development of quality cancer programs.
