About Our Auction

Our church strives to welcome everyone, so last year we decided to renovate to improve accessibility for those using mobility devices. We also upgraded our sanctuary into a flexible performing arts space for the wider community.

This auction is a fundraiser for the newly completed renovations, which include:
- a wheelchair lift up to the stage
- a fully accessible all-gender restroom on the main floor
- an enlarged kitchen with counters and sink at wheelchair height
- new smooth flooring
- movable chairs to replace the original pews
- a new audio visual system
- theatrical lighting

We aim to share an accessible and welcoming space for everyone in our community to perform, speak, lead worship, sit anywhere with friends and family, and to feel at home in this multi-purpose hall.

We are extremely grateful to Bob Gander for donating this collection of his carvings to support our project. Bob began wood carving in 1984 using diamond willow found along the banks of the river in Saskatoon. Through the Saskatoon Wood Carvers Guild he enjoyed learning techniques from a variety of instructors. More recently he joined the Saskatchewan Wildlife Artists Association and explored carving more realistic animals, birds and fish, and sculpting more abstract and geometric forms. Thanks to Trent Watts for these beautiful photos of Bob's art.

Thanks to everyone for your support!
