WIRES Australian Wildlife Rescue Auction

Purchase an original artwork by Brisbane Artist Chris Riley. The piece has been commissioned by Fifth Avenue Lifestyle to auction off with funds going to WIRES Australian Wildlife Rescue. WIRES mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. This beautiful acrylic painting is size is 100 x 76cm.

Australia has never seen a concurrent series of emergency events like those that began in November 2019. Hundreds of fires have burnt over 4.9 million hectares of land in NSW alone. Many animals were already struggling with a lack of water and food due to the drought. With the fires destroying an unprecedented amount of habitat, food shortages have increased and lack of suitable habitat will be a significant long-term challenge for surviving wildlife.

The money raised will help WIRES to rescue and care for more native animals, provide more wildlife information and education to the community, to protect and preserve native animals and to train and support more volunteer rescuers and carers. (www.wires.org.au)
