Whitney Houston "Greatest Love of All" Memorabilia

One-of-a-kind Shadow Box presentation of unpublished photograph of Whitney Houston taken on the set of the music video for "Greatest Love of All" at the Apollo Theater in 1986, along with Arriflex film mag used to shoot 35mm film of the video.

The memorabilia is donated by Camera Operator, Robin Buerki. The photograph is a unique look at Whitney behind the scenes early in her career, preparing to shoot the video, “Greatest Love of All.” Robin’s recollection of the filming was at the time Whitney was not as well-known and he had to be convinced to film the video. One of his friends told him repeatedly that this young lady was special and after several requests, Robin was convinced to come on board as a member of the camera crew to shoot the video.

The film mag was used by Robin when shooting the video, as shown in the photograph. The camera was an Arri 35-III, and the mag is the Cinema Products 1977 re-design with modification specifically for use on the Steadicam. A limited number of these mags were made and at the time cost between between $8,000 and $9,000 each, more than double the cost of a standard Arri mag. These items have been in Robin’s possession until now.
