BCJHS WTP - 2016 Quest for the Championship

This Auction is being held in conjunction with a dinner to be held at Brown County High School on February 26, 2016 in order to help raise the funds needed to send the We the People students to Washington, D.C. April 29-May 3. This is an amazing educational program and the eighth grade students are representing Indiana as the state winners in the National Competition. Please help send them to Washington, D.C. and once again bring home the National Title.

The We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution program was developed to promote civic competency and responsibility among elementary and secondary students through in-depth study of our nation's founding documents and their constitutional principles. Classes are divided into six units based on the six units of the We the People textbooks. Each unit becomes constitutional experts in its field of study and prepares three opening statements in efforts to effectively answer questions concerning the constitution and civic participation. The Eighth Grade of Brown County Junior High has won the national competition in Washington D.C. two years in a row. This year's eighth graders hope to bring home a "Three-peat" to Brown County. They will travel to Washington, D.C. April 17th as Indiana's state winner and representative in the National Competition.

The Silent Auction will end on-line at 12:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2016. The Silent Auction will continue at Brown County High School from 5-7:00 pm in conjunction with a dinner. All bid sheets from the on-line auction will be transferred and winning bids will be awarded at the "Big Event." Hope to see everyone there!
