About Our Auction

The Woman's Club of Concord was founded in 1893. Chamberlin House was left to us by a member, Nellie Chamberlin, in 1919, when she died in the last pandemic. As there is no endowment attached, the Club supports the House with outside rentals. Due to COVID-19, we have just reopened July 15, 2021. With revenue severely affected, this auction will support the House during the next several months until our "regulars" are back. see www.wwcnh.com for more information about our Club.

About Woman's Club of Concord

The Woman’s Club of Concord, founded 1893, is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of women in the greater Concord area by offering scholarships and housing, community activities and educational programs. The Club maintains the historic Chamberlin House at 44 Pleasant St. which is home to as many as four women in transition. It is also the site for community meetings and programs. Women who live or work in the greater Concord area are eligible for membership. Members are informed of club activities and, though, they do not have to participate to be members, it is hoped that they will participate in some aspect of the Club life to support the above activities.
