Wellesley College Choir Fall 2016 Auction

Welcome to the Wellesley College Choir's Annual Fundraising Auction! The auction runs from our Fall Dober Concert, November 12, to Christmas Vespers, December 4.

Help support us on our upcoming Spring Tour to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York City by bidding on items donated by our members. We are committed to making sure that all choir members can go on tour this year, regardless of individual financial situations, and participating in our auction will help us fulfill our commitment. We have everything from hand-knit crafts to baked goods to Celtics tickets, so enjoy!

Wellesley’s Choral Ensembles allow students from all disciplines and backgrounds to experience the exhilaration and joy of performing great choral music in beautiful venues with excellent musicians. With over a century’s worth of history, the tradition of choral singing at Wellesley has long been a vital part of campus life. In addition to presenting works for women’s voices, the choir collaborates with male choruses to perform works for mixed voices and orchestra. The choir tours annually, having concertized throughout the US and in many European countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Canada, and the Baltic States. Recently, they toured to Seoul, South Korea, where they sang for audiences as large at 7,000 people. In 2010, Choir was chosen to sing at the American Choral Director’s Association conference in Philadelphia and were also featured at the Boston ACDA conference in February 2017. They were featured in the 2003 motion picture Mona Lisa Smile along with the Chamber Singers. This year, the Choir will go on tour to Charleston, SC and Atlanta, and Savannah, GA.
