Prologue Performing Arts/ Prologue aux arts de la scene is a not-for-profit charitable arts education presenting organization that facilitates opportunities for young people to experience the performing arts by connecting them to meaningful, empowering and impactful performances and workshops in schools and communities across Toronto and Ontario.

The organization has a long history of empowering and inspiring young people in Toronto and across Ontario through diverse performing arts experiences. The first organization of its kind in Toronto, Prologue began as the dream of five young mothers to provide access to performing arts experiences for children and youth across Ontario. Prologue places a strong emphasis on accessibility and equity, ensuring that young people in communities across Toronto have access to relevant, engaging and experiential performing arts experiences.

The organization has since reached over 20 million young people, facilitated 73,000 performances and workshops, toured to over 175 communities and supported over 250 artist companies. Each year Prologue facilitates approximately 550 performances and workshops. In turn, the organization brings relevant and impactful performing arts experiences to over 275,000 young people.
