About Wimberley Adoption Group and Rescue
Founded in 2009, Wimberley Adoption Group & Rescue (WAG Rescue) is a volunteer supported, non-profit public charity for dog rescue and adoption. We are located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, an hour southwest of Austin.
The mission of WAG Rescue is to help alleviate overcrowding in Central Texas shelters and provide dog adoption services to the community.
Every day, good dogs run out of time, space, and second chances. At WAG Rescue, we believe every dog deserves safety, care, and the opportunity to become part of a loving family. Through rescue, refuge, rehabilitation, and adoption, we work to bridge the gap between overcrowded shelters and the people in our community ready to open their hearts and homes. Since our inception, WAG Rescue has placed over 2,670 dogs in loving adoptive homes and we are committed to continuing this life saving work in our local communities.
