Voices of Birralee's Western Front Touring Program

This auction is to raise funds for Voices of Birralee's Western Front Touring Project, providing choral services to WW1 Centenary Commemorations in France this November and next April, as part of a five year commitment to the Department of Veterans' Affairs. Voices of Birralee is grateful to have been donated the following items by Ashgrove - The Gap Lions Club and by Brisbane's The School Locker.

Voices of Birralee, one of Australia’s foremost youth arts organisations, is a Brisbane based non-profit choral organisation founded in 1995 by Artistic Director Julie Christiansen OAM. It comprises six ensembles, which have attained a remarkable level of professionalism and are highly acclaimed by national and international audiences. The organisation caters for approximately 400 young people aged between 5 - 35 years. Choristers sing a variety of music styles and particularly enjoy promoting Australian music. They have participated in festivals in Australia, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Italy, Korea, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. In addition to its own concerts, the organisation has collaborated with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and Queensland Pops Orchestra, while supporting numerous community organisations.
