International Women's Day art pop-up for WAGEC

Our silent auction is designed to raise funds for the Women's and Girls' Emergency Centre (WAGEC). All proceeds from art sales will be going to WAGEC. Each of the artists featured have created art in their own style with the aim to come together as a community.

Join us to celebrate International Women’s day and raise funds for the Women’s and Girls Emergency Centre (WAGEC).

Transformative connections. Her legacy is an art pop-up that celebrates women and the love and care they shape into their orbit. Her efforts endure to build the foundations of a connected community. Paintings, sculptural and textile pieces by local female artists Alina Camiller, Marguerite Derricourt, Catherine Field, Pam Jolly, Amanda Mason and Lynsey McGee will be featured.

There will also be a collaborative artwork where visitors will be welcomed to contribute.

Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre (WAGEC) is a feminist, grassroots organisation that supports women and families in crisis and advocates for social change in the community. WAGEC is based in Redfern, Sydney and work on the lands of the Gadigal and Wangal people of the Eora Nation. Every night, WAGEC supports 200 women and children impacted by homelessness, domestic violence and systemic disadvantage. WAGEC provides material aid, case management, biopsychosocial support, accommodation, and crisis responses.
