About Our Auction
Our auction proceeds will support two needs:
First is the Ventura County Special Olympics which provides year-round training and competition for more than 700 special-needs children and adults with varying degrees of ability. It is 'sports' in the truest sense. The goal is not necessarily to win, but to participate and for each athlete to discover his or her own best. All earn an award, a cheer and a sincere “well done!” Your support will send our Ventura County Special Athletes to next year's Summer Games
We also raise money to provide scholarships for underprivileged high-school and Jr. college students in our community. Most years the foundation provides $5,000 to $10,000 in scholarships.
About TO Rotary Foundation Wine and Beer Festival
The Thousand Oaks Rotary Foundation is again holding its Summer Wine and Beer Festival fundraiser, with the Ventura County Special Olympics as the major beneficiary.
The event will feature wine and beer tasting, amazing food, auctions, music and fun. Our event has raised over $585,000 for Ventura County Special Olympics over the past several years and we need your support to raise more to support these incredible athletes.

It represents sports in its truest sense: the goal is not to win, but to try; and to experience, but not to conquer. All athletes earn an award, a cheer and a sincere “well done.”
Our event is scheduled for Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Westlake, 5pm-9 pm, with distinguished winemakers, craft breweries and local restaurants attending.
