Taste of Italy New Orleans Art Piece

Created especially for Carla Pesono's Taste of Italy event in New Orleans, The Italian Thread is a vibrant celebration of Italian heritage woven into the spirit of New Orleans. Italian artist Marianna Canu, based in New Orleans, brings these worlds together through bold color, lively street scenes, and playful detail.

Musicians, beloved restaurants, Italian culinary traditions, and the Italian and American flags fill a cityscape alive with movement. Beneath a luminous moon, each detail invites a closer look, celebrating the food, music, and community that connect generations.

This specially commissioned piece offers a meaningful opportunity to bring that shared cultural story into your home while supporting the Italian American St. Joseph’s Day Society.
