Park City Band Program Sweetheart Gala 2020

Proceeds from this auction support NINE different music performance groups throughout the year in a nearly unlimited range of ways, providing hundreds of students with instruction, instruments, uniforms, transportation, performance expenses, and – most importantly - the opportunity to participate in some of the state’s best music programs.

The Wind and Percussion performing artists of the Park City School District - comprised of two Concert Bands, two Jazz Ensembles, two Percussion Ensembles, the Marching Band, the Pit Orchestra, and the Pep Band - perform not only locally, but at the Regional, State, National, and International levels. By special invitation and in recognition of their merit, skill and character, the PC Bands Marching Band summer 2019 season kicked off with their participation in commemoration services and events marking the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and the Allied Invasion in Normandy and in Paris, France!

Beyond facilitating the academics of other subjects are enormous social and emotional benefits students in music programs reap. These multi-talented young people are committed to an extraordinary level of teamwork and cooperation, must learn to face struggle and triumph equally gracefully, and own the responsibility to just plain put in the hard work. In turn, their rewards are not merely a lifelong skill or appreciation for the arts, but a level of emotional fraternity, maturity and gratitude that is equally exceptional.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the Sweetheart Gala this Friday, January 31st -- the jazz band has been practicing tirelessly and many volunteers have been toiling away to make this evening special for you!

Our auction will end online at 1 pm on Friday, January 31st, and reopen as a paper-and-pencil auction at 6 pm at the Gala. If there is something you had your eye on, make sure you get your bid in!
