Sunny Day Block Party

This auction is to help us continue to build the Sunny Day Leadership and Activities Center at the West Virginia Camp at Cowen. We would love your partnership in this venture, as the completed facility will include:

A gymnasium
Three classrooms
A basketball court
Bleacher seating
Bathroom facilities

The prayer and hope of this new facility is to increase the ministry at camp to the campers, the surrounding Webster County and the West Virginia Baptist Convention.

We’re about one-third of the way finished with our fundraising, but still need your help! As this auction continues, prayerfully consider partnering with us on this journey to increase the ministry opportunities at the West Virginia Baptist Camp at Cowen, “Where People Meet Jesus and Grow as His Disciples in a Community of Faith.”

The West Virginia Baptist Camp has been an integral part of the West Virginia Baptist Convention since 1943. It is easy to hear the impact that walks on the holy grounds of "Camp Cowen" have made on many lives. There have been pastors, staff and counselors alike who have heard and answered the call to serve God in mighty ways after a week of camping. The laughter, friendships and yelling "Praise the Lord' after an attitude check make lasting memories on all who visit.

All online auction items will have a final opportunity to be bid upon at the Camp Cowen Block Party. There will also be some exclusive items for auction only at the live event. The Block Party will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Charleston WV on April 21 at 1:15. Everyone who has ever experienced, been changed, or even heard about the West Virginia Baptist Convention is encouraged to attend. The Cowen store will be present, memorabilia from the past 75 years of Camp on display, and lots of memories shared. Please join us for an incredible time of worship and fellowship.
