About Our Auction

This art initiative is for people in recovery from drugs & alcohol addictions. Mental health, respiratory health & digestive system health will be the main areas of focus. These art pieces have been created with love, pain, joy & sorrow. Key life moments have led to the creation of each of these works of art. “Love is Flowing like a River” has been a selected winner at Oakville’s Juried Art show, 2016. This art auction will help people in need to think right, act right and feel right, and have reasonable dignified access to care and medicine. No matter what stage of recovery they are in.

The funds raised will be directed to Sunnybrook’s Drugs & alcohol addictions facilities, like the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) clinic and/or other relevant programs.

Statement from the artist, Sushila Pereira,
“I am so thankful and grateful for receiving painting as a gift and I am happy to share it as much as I can.”

In addition, some of the proceeds from the sale of my paintings will go towards building a Healing Art Centre here in Canada where people who have gone through drugs and alcohol addictions treatment can express their feelings in colour through art and find how beautiful they are on the inside.
