Spring Auction 2025

Happy Spring!

Our long-time hay supplier, Dave, has sold his farm and will only be able to provide us with 3 more loads of premium grass hay, getting us through July. Dave and his wife have been essential members of our team and community, providing us with high-quality hay at an unbeatable price for many years. This marks the end of an era, and we are saddened to be losing this reliable resource for our ranch.  We also know it will be hard to find hay at that price and in one single load/delivery. So an increase in expense and work load Is something we are surely facing. Dave is 75 years old and he hauls 350 bales of his grass hay to us every month from Colorado, driving 4 hours in each direction. A handful of committed volunteers help us unload it. A friend and volunteer makes a beautiful meal, that we enjoy together at the ranch after.
 
 For now, let us celebrate spring, new life, growth and opportunities together this season.

Happy Rascal Ranch is a 501(c)3 non profit corporation formed specifically and primarily for the purpose of providing a sanctuary and forever home for horses once wild in Placitas, New Mexico and rescued equines, with an emphasis on natural herd dynamics. In addition, to offer an opportunity for experiential learning and transforming through connecting with the herd in nature. This grassroots mother-and-daughter-founded sanctuary is held together by community and an unwavering passion for animals. They have saved and offered sanctuary to many equines including horses that were once wild, seniors, some with special needs, and donkeys. Many of their rescues suffered from neglect, but now they have a forever home at Happy Rascal Ranch. We appreciate your support!
