Donations directly fund the Creative Arts & Sciences guest speakers mentioned below, transportation & entry fees for field trips, library books, classroom supplies, and a yearbook for every family to commemorate the school year. Community celebrations like the Sprague Fall Festival, Kindergarten Ice Cream Social, and the next Spring Auction will also be funded from our efforts tonight.

Auction funds drive the robust Creative Arts & Sciences (CAS) Program which brought Michael LaFosse, an origami master to school this year via live-streaming, and helped children connect origami art to concepts in geometry. Author Rob Buyea gave an in-depth writer's workshop in which students delved into rich writing materials that they could take home and keep. For our youngest learners, scientists from the Discovery Museum introduced forces of motion through hands-on experiments, and children took a guided tour of the wonders of the wetlands with the Pacific Science Center. Children toured Plimoth Patuxet to learn about the history and culture of indigenous people in Massachusetts. This spring, CAS brings socially-distanced, guided nature walks with naturalist Lisa Moore to observe birds of prey like live owls! Many thanks go to Peggy Collier, Mary Tricolli, Jo Kaplan Lee, Nina Covey, Jill Wells, and Abbe Hocherman for planning this year's amazing CAS programming.

The Sprague Elementary School consists of 19 classrooms in grades K-5 with a student population of just over 400. Our dedicated faculty, led by our beloved Principal, Leigh Petrowsky, rise above and beyond to enrich our children's daily lives with knowledge, curiosity about the world around them, and the resilience to continue pursuing their goals. We gather together to support Sprague tonight and give back to the school that has given our families so much.
