SOS 2021 Virtual Gala Silent Auction

To achieve our goals, SOS identifies pathways and partnerships that further allows us to increase the number of black women in the professional pilot career field. This is done by exposing our targeted audience to the pilot career field and providing scholarships to assist in bridging the financial cost of flight training while earning their
pilot certifications. This virtual auction is one of our fundraising events to go towards our initiative of increasing diversity in the skies.

Our organization is comprised of professional black women pilots who represent less than 1% of the total professional pilot career field. Currently, there are less than 300 black women pilots in the United States holding Airline Transport Pilot, Commercial, Military, and/or Certified Flight Instructor Licenses. Our goal is to drastically improve these numbers through mentorship, professional development, STEM, outreach, and scholarships.
Our mission is to develop pathways and partnerships to increase the number of black women in the professional pilot career field and increase our sisterhood through scholarship, mentorship, and outreach.
