About Our Auction

On behalf of Slow Food Chicago, we would like to thank you for supporting this online auction run in conjunction with our annual Slow Food Chicago Farm Roast.

Our Farm Roast is the major fundraiser for Slow Food Chicago, a non-profit organization raising funds to promote biodiverse and sustainable producers and purveyors in our community and to advocate for renewed interest in and support for our local food culture. A major portion of the funds raised at the Farm Roast go to provide travel support for Midwestern delegates (farmers, chefs and local food producers) to our Terra Madre event, considered the Olympics of the Food World, in Italy in 2016.

The Farm Roast brings together the region's best chefs, farmers, brewers, and bartenders for an afternoon of incredible food, drink, and education. It's perhaps the most delicious way possible to support local food culture. This year's event will be held on Sunday, September 13th at Local Foods.

Purchase your tickets to the 2015 Farm Roast here: https://secure.sosh.com/chicago/marketplace/slow-food-chicagos-annual-farm-roast/m/E5AXz/

Chefs will cook up duck, rabbit, lamb, and pork with ingredients from the Slow Food Ark of Taste - a living catalog of 1000+ distinctive foods facing extinction worldwide.

Mix and mingle in Local Foods' brand-new event space over brews and cocktails.
