Sister Inmate Benefit Auction

Sister Inmate's all volunteer staff is dedicated to supporting incarcerated individuals and their families. They need your help to provide books for their Spiritual Based Book Club; to buy items for the Holiday Gift Bags distributed to all women incarcerated in L.A. (things like toothpaste and tea); and to print materials for their emotional support and life skills workshops. And beyond these immediate needs, Sister Inmate is also raising funds for the long term goal of building a transitional home for women in South Los Angeles.

All of the artwork here has been generously donated by professional working artists who regularly show at well known galleries and museums. You have the opportunity to own an original artwork or service for a fraction of what you'd pay in a gallery - and all of the proceeds will be going to the amazing, dedicated folks at Sister Inmate. SISTER INMATE is a Los Angeles-Based non-profit that provides support to individuals affected by incarceration. Our mission is to help restore the justice system and reduce the recidivism rate, one loved one at a time.

Our goals are to:

By mobilizing a passionate team of therapists, life coaches, counselors, and mentors, we're able to provide emotional support to individuals affected by incarceration. We give those incarcerated in prisons and jails the tools they'll need once they're released through our life skills classes. And we strive to bring greater awareness to the realities of our prison and jail systems, and what it's like to have a loved one incarcerated.

In some way, we are all incarcerated, too.
