About Kin River Collective

Kin River Collective is a Halifax based collective committed to exploring notions of kinship, allyship and acts of co-existence. We welcome anyone, Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, who wishes to participate in conversations and acts of collaborative creation.

KRC develop arts-based and community driven projects that explore Indigenous issues, both past and present as well as settler colonialism through the act of collective making. We hope to build connections through our collaborative community projects rooted in Indigenous narratives and in ethics of shared responsibility. We stand in solidarity with local, national and international Indigenous peoples and in support of Indigenous rights, worldviews, knowledges, and politics. The aim of these projects is for participants, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, to come together and collectively honour, acknowledge and participate in Indigenous sovereignty rights.
