About Our Auction

Welcome to the Jeffrey W. and Jo Anne R. Coy Public Library of Shippensburg’s first online silent auction! We hope you enjoy this new process for bidding on a great assortment of items gathered from our library Board, Friends of the library, and friends of Friends. The online auction begins Saturday, April 24 at 8:00 a.m. and ends on Saturday, May 1 at 8:00 p.m. Proceeds benefit our library operations.

How to bid on the auction:

To place a bid, you will be asked to create a log-in using an e-mail address and password. Verify your e-mail and you’re all set to start bidding.

Scroll through all the offerings and place your bids. Once the bid is submitted, you will receive e-mail updates so you don’t miss out on your favorite item.

You can use your cell phone or computer to view and bid on items. Just enter the link above in any browser and you can do everything on-line, including making a payment with PayPal or a credit card.

For the savvy bidder, there is a “proxy” bid you can put in place that will identify the maximum you want to pay for an item, but will only show the minimum bid to all viewers. If another person bids on that item, your bid will automatically increase up the maximum you identified.

If you don’t see anything you like, you can still contribute by using the green “donate” button on the upper right-hand corner of the auction site.

Bidding will end at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1. Winning bidders will be notified by e-mail by Sunday, May 2. Items may be picked up from the library annex (the building adjacent to the library, where The Book Nook is located) on Thursday, May 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 7 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and Saturday, May 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If those times are not convenient, buyers may contact Angie at asachleben@hotmail.com to arrange an alternate day and time.

TO NON-LOCAL BUYERS: If you are interested in having an item shipped, please contact Angie at the above e-mail to discuss shipping arrangements.

Thank you for your support!
