Save the Majestic Virtual Silent Auction

The Majestic Theatre has been a cornerstone of entertainment in the Gunnison Valley for over 25 years. As the only movie theater in a 2-hour radius, locals, tourists, and second homeowners alike rely on the Majestic for access to new movies, delicious popcorn, special events, and community bonding. Due to COVID-19 regulations and rising rent costs, the Druckers were forced to close the Majestic’s doors this past September.

We cannot stand to let COVID-19 take away our theater! When we can all gather again, we know our community will crave the shared experience of going to the movies. As former employees of the Majestic, we know how important a movie theater is to our community and we have embarked on a campaign to save the Majestic. We are currently fundraising with the goal of leasing the building and reopening late Summer 2021. We will reopen as a nonprofit movie theater that will serve to educate, entertain, and inspire the Gunnison Valley.
