Curl for a Cause Miracle Auction

This year, the annual sponsored auction has proudly partnered with the Curl for a Cause event, uniting two long-standing traditions built on a shared love of sports and the Greater Victoria community’s spirit of generosity. Together, this collaboration strengthens the impact of local giving and brings even more excitement to an already beloved charitable initiative.

Every year, Ian and Deb Klitsie, their kids Megan and Bryant, and Luigi Mansueti of Victoria Truss support this 12-hour CFAX 1070 radiothon supporting CFAX Santas Anonymous Society with exclusive auction opportunities, featuring standout events and premier sporting experiences with prime seating and VIP access. Their enthusiasm for giving and strong community spirit bring exceptional energy to the auction, making it truly special.

Since 1977, CFAX Santas Anonymous has helped local families enjoy a special Christmas, and this year we will support 1,200 households, all through 100% donor funding. While toys for children and gifts for teens are our most popular donations, the greatest need is financial support for the purchase of food. With school meal programs closed over the holidays, we help ensure children have enough to eat by providing each family with three thoughtfully packed bags of groceries for the pantry and a $150 local grocery gift card for fresh food.

Fueled by the generous hearts of hundreds of volunteers, CFAX Santas Anonymous brings many hands together to give families in need, a Christmas experience to remember. 

And of course, there’s Santa Bear, our beloved mascot, spreading smiles and festive fun to children across Greater Victoria.
