Samaritans’ mission is to reduce the incidence of suicide by alleviating despair, isolation, distress and suicidal feelings among individuals in our community, 24 hours a day; to educate the public about suicide prevention; and to reduce the stigma associated with suicide. We accomplish this through services that emphasize confidential, non-judgmental, and compassionate listening.

Join us for a day of celebration and remembrance at our 5K Run/Walk and Family Fun Festival at DCR's Artesani Park on October 1st, 2016. When each one of our over 3,000 participants look out at the crowds of teams, families and friends, they know that they are not alone. Walk and run registration begins at 8:00 am and the event wraps up with an awards ceremony at 11:30.

Final bids for all auction items (including online proxy bids submitted prior to 12:00 pm on September 30) will be entered at the live 5K event.
