About Rocketown of Middle Tennessee

Founded by Contemporary Christian Music Artist Michael W. Smith in 1994, Rocketown serves children and teens through innovative and one-of-a-kind programs. Our mission is to offer hope to the next generation through Christ's love. Our vision is to be THE place of peace, purpose, and possibilities for youth. All young people are welcome at Rocketown, and we regularly interact with those who are underserved, unsupported, disconnected, and feel isolated and hopeless. We believe young people grow and learn more readily in a community that is welcoming, diverse and challenges them to think.

The current facility features three stages for live entertainment, Middle Tennessee’s only indoor skatepark, a coffee bar, recording studio, and photography/film, art and dance studios. Rocketown's afterschool program, Rocketown Productions, uses technology, arts (e.g. film, vocal) and sports to attract and engage youth. There is no fee for programs and services at Rocketown. We only ask that individuals respect the environment and support each other at all times, whether that be at Rocketown, in their neighborhoods or at school.
