About Our Auction
The Loon Lake Recreation Center has been a cornerstone of our community, providing a space for people of all ages to come together, make memories, and celebrate life’s moments. From public skating and curling leagues to bingo nights, weddings, funerals, and our annual Fall Fair and Dinner Theater, the Recreation Center is not only a gathering place but also the heart of Loon Lake and the surrounding areas, including Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation and Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation.
This vital facility, run entirely by dedicated volunteers, is showing its age, and we are facing significant costs to complete some much-needed repairs, particularly in the kitchen. A functioning and updated kitchen is essential to continue hosting the events and gatherings that bring our community closer.
About Loon Lake Recreation Center
The Recreation Center consists of a skating rink, two curling ice sheets and a hall which is utilized by all ages of residents from Loon Lake and surrounding rural areas.
The Rec Center hosts regular events including, public skating, two curling leagues, bingo, weddings, funerals and our annual Fall Fair and Dinner Theater just to name a few. The rec-center is a vital part of our community ran by volunteers and utilized by everyone.
