About Our Auction

Le Rendez-vous du Détroit is a French, Metis and Native American cultural event celebrating the founding roots of Détroit. Featuring French and Native American food, music, dancing and historical reenactors that bring 18th century Détroit to life, the Rendez-vous is a fun and educational event that attracts people from all demographics across the Midwest and Canada. You will be assisting us in our efforts to support the historical legacy of our region and this is the first year we will be at Historic Fort Wayne in Detroit, Michigan.

About Historic Fort Wayne Coalition

Dedicated to Fort Wayne
The Historic Fort Wayne Coalition was formed in 2004 by a group of individuals from all walks of life who share one common goal - to be a positive force for the restoration and promotion of Detroit's Historic Fort Wayne. In 2007 the Coalition was awarded 501(c)(3) non-profit status by the IRS. We work side by side with the City of Detroit Recreation Department, Friends of Fort Wayne, Colonial Dames in the State of Michigan, the Detroit Historical Society, Tuskegee Airmen and other groups.

A large part of our membership is made up of "living historians," men and women who enjoy reenacting various eras in our nation's history. We also have many non-historian members who, through contributions of time or funds, help restore and maintain this important historic site for the public's enjoyment.
