This is a collective effort between friends to financially assist Scott Spitz during his time of need. Scott is a father to a six year old, a long time vegan, competitive distance runner, cyclist, writer, graphic designer and has spent many years growing his roots in the Indy community. When going to the doctor for what he thought was a hernia, Scott was diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), a type of cancer that starts in the appendix but has spread to various other organs. He recently underwent a VERY extensive and invasive surgery to try to remove the tumors. He will be starting systemic chemo very soon, in order to try to shrink the remaining tumors to attempt this surgery yet one more time. Like many of us today, Scott is uninsured, which means his medical bills alone are going to be much more than any one person can handle. This is why we're here...to try to help along in any way possible!
