About Our Auction

63 works of art, most of which are originals, are available for auction as part the Art for an Oil-Free Coast initiative. These extraordinary pieces have been donated by the artists to Raincoast in a effort to stop Enbridge’s Northern Gateway oil tanker proposal. All the art is being sold by auction with 100% of the proceeds going to our Oil-Free Coast campaign.

All size of all art pieces are the unframed sizes.

Credit cards are not necessary to create bidding accounts and Raincoast will contact successful buyers.

The art is also on tour to build awareness around the unacceptable risks of oil tankers on the BC coast.

The auction includes works by artists such as Robert Bateman, Carl Chaplin, Christian Morriseau, Craig Benson, Mark Hobson, Carol Evans, Roy Henry Vickers, Robert Davidson and more.

Investigate. Inform. Inspire.

Raincoast is a team of conservationists empowered by our scientific research to protect the lands, waters, and wildlife of coastal British Columbia. Our mandate is to investigate, inform, and inspire. Using the best science, we investigate to understand coastal species and ecology. We inform by bringing science to decision makers and communities. We inspire people to be ambassadors for, and protectors of, this priceless coast. We brand this informed advocacy; a unique blend of rigorous science, applied ethics, and grassroots activism.
