Playhouses on the Plaza

From March 31 through April 6, Habitat for Humanity of Smith County will transform Tyler’s downtown T.B. Butler Plaza into a magical mini-community! Playhouses on the Plaza is a unique benefit which will feature a public exhibit of eight life-sized playhouses right in the heart of downtown Tyler!

The event kicks off on March 31 and concludes Thursday, April 6 with a ticketed 6 P.M. dinner and live auction hosted by Jack Ryan's Steak and Chophouse located at 102 N College Ave.

By joining together as neighbors, we can change the future of families in need and give their children a fair chance for a life of hope.
“Your Smith County Habitat is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing low income working families the hope and transforming experience of home ownership.”

Smith County Habitat for Humanity offers this dream to those who would otherwise not be able to afford a home of their own. The new home owners help to build the house alongside many dedicated volunteers in the community. Habitat sells the house to the home owner at cost and finances the mortgage at zero interest.
