Pay It Forward Nick's Way - 3rd Annual Fundraiser

This is the Third Annual Fundraising event held in memory of Nick Kucenic. He is and will always be our inspiration in Paying It Forward to others. (Nick lost his brave struggle to cancer in September, 2018.)

We have over 465 items available for you this year. We have 10 Feature items that will rotate throughout the auction, so check back daily. If you win an item, there are a number of options to make your pickup or delivery easy. The standard details are found within each auction item. If those options don't work, however, just let us know, and we'll be happy to work with you! KC metro businesses and beyond have been exceedingly generous with us this year! We believe there is something for everyone!

Please think holiday shopping, and PLEASE forward to your friends via email, Facebook or Twitter. In fact, if you copy us (PayItForwardNicksWay@gmail.com) when you forward your email, we'll include you in a $50 HyVee gift card drawing! The more people involved, the greater our chance of success!

Also, consider getting some of your family and/or friends together for an auction gathering. Several people did this last year, and said they had a great time! In fact, there were some pretty tense moments at the end of the auction as several items went into overtime! So... have fun browsing, or if you want something specific, try a search. You can search by Category by using the arrow next to the "All ltems" at the top of the page, OR, you can go to the box to the right with the search magnifier and put in a specific search name like "Chiefs".

A special note for ALL Chiefs fans:
The auction ends at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday night, October 10th and the Chiefs game has a 7:20 start time! Since it is a home game, and if you are planning on being there, please take advantage of the PROXY bid service. The system will do your bidding should someone overbid you! Pay It Forward Nick's Way is in memory of Nick Kucenic who passed away from cancer in 2018. Nick immigrated to this country from the former Yugoslavia (now Croatia) in 1968 when he was 11 years old. He settled on Strawberry Hill for several years, then married his wife Connie. They were blessed with their daughter, Melanie (Mel) in 1997. He worked non-stop his entire life, but always made time for family, friends, fun and laughter. The soundtrack of his life, though, was his generosity and kindness to others - his greatest legacy. He touched the lives of many!

A team of individuals (we call Angels) began collaborating to help other cancer patients on their journeys. Our paths crossed with the Cancer Action organization who support the needs of cancer patients within our community. Our mission is to help with fundraising efforts so that Cancer Action can fulfill their mission of never letting anyone walk alone with cancer.

In 2019, we had our first dinner/auction for Cancer Action. In 2020 we went virtual through the 32Auctions services website. It has been a huge success and we've used it ever since! Our four events so far have raised over $100,000 for Cancer Action! 100% of all money raised through Pay It Forward Nick's Way events go to support the services of Cancer Action.

As a very sincere and special thank you this year, I'd love to thank the amazing people that tirelessly make this auction such an amazing success! None of this would be possible without the commitment, dedication and sacrifice of our team. Their time, talent and treasure are an honor to work with each week. It makes my heart proud to be associated with such a humble, graceful and compassionate team! I know Nick is smiling down on all of us for Paying It Forward.

A Chinese Proverb says ... If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.
