Paint for a Purpose
Nordstrom Barton Creek has partnered with six local artists for an amazing art installation benefit!
Each artist has been donated a mannequin, by Nordstrom, to paint and be auctioned off to the public. The proceeds from each mannequin will be donated to the artist's non-profit organization of choice.
The organizations include Dress For Success Austin, HOPE Campaign, the National Domestic Violence Hotline, SAFE Alliance, American Honey Bee Protection Association, and Austin Pets Alive!.
On June 8th, from 6PM- 9PM at Nordstrom Barton Creek, auction participants and members of the public are invited to come to the closing reception where guests may enjoy cocktails, light bites, live music, and a chance to chat with the artists. The auction will stay open until 8PM.
At this time, those who placed the highest bids and won the mannequins, will be announced.
Winners are encouraged to take their mannequins home after the closing reception on June 8th.
However, Nordstrom will be happy to hold onto them until winners are able to pick them up.
If you are a winning bidder of one of the mannequins, please bring a check written to the mannequin's designated non-profit the night of the closing reception.
If you are unable to make the reception, you may bring a check when you pick up your mannequin.
Take a look at these beautifully painted mannequins and place your bids!

About Paint for a Purpose - Nordstrom ATX
Paint for a Purpose is a project connecting local visual artists with the Austin community. Six local artists were selected to create a unique installation art piece utilizing a Nordstrom mannequin as a blank canvas. 100% of the proceeds from each mannequin will be donated to the local non-profit organization of the artist's choice.
Artists, Zuzu Perkal, Starla Michelle, Miles Starkey, Matthew Trujillo, Jenny Ramirez, and Erik Ross, have banded together to paint beautiful works of art all in the name of charity. From their artwork, the goal of Paint for a Purpose is to raise $12,000 and give back to the organizations that do so much.
