About Our Auction
The "Own Your Own Universe" (OYOU) 501 C3 non-profit is hosting this online silent auction to raise much needed funds for our events and ongoing programs in 2023. 100% of the proceeds from this silent auction will go towards this nonprofit! Most of our silent auction items come with membership perks, music and art workshops, and other goodies! Please join the OYOU as we celebrate our tenth anniversary! We're your local little nonprofit with a heart the size of Texas! We are indeed transforming lives through music and the creative arts (ownyourownuniverse.org).
About Own Your Own Universe
The "Own Your Own Universe" (OYOU) is a 501 C3 non-profit organization based out of San Marcos and Martindale, Texas. It is our mission to make the arts accessible to everyone! We empower and transform lives by connecting the mind, body, and spirit through music and the creative arts. 99% of our events take place in the rural town of Martindale, Texas. We provide a much needed service within our community.
We're celebrating our 10th anniversary with an online fundraiser and silent auction. Everything concludes December 19th with an online concert by Terri Hendrix where 100% of the proceeds will go to the OYOU. We'll announce the silent auction winners during that concert and will notify winners via email. The concert will broadcast live on multiple social media pages and at our website at ownyourownuniverse.org. Please visit our website for links and information on how to watch the concert online.
We're seeking funding to host multiple events. We pay our performers, educators, workshop facilitators, local small businesses that assist us, and host both free and ticketed events. We offer scholarships to all ticketed events.

OYOU Tammi Fest Weekend — An art and music festival that's both ticketed and free. The OYOU teams up with local businesses in downtown Martindale and the surrounding area to produce a community-wide event.

Spasmodic and Essential Tremor Support Group
Creative writing and songwriting with verbal and nonverbal adults with disabilities.
Music business, audio, and video workshops
