What happens when your heart belongs to a soldier? Now, imagine that you are expecting a baby while your soldier is deployed.

At Operation Shower it is our mission to ease the stress and financial burden of deployment by hosting joyful, awesome baby showers for military families across the country. Since 2007, Operation Shower has served over 9,000 military moms through 213 group baby showers.

This auction helps us continue to raise awareness and funding that is necessary to carry out our mission.

Operation Shower exists for a simple reason: to recognize the military moms and military families who serve our country. We do this by providing joyous — awesome — baby showers! We go above and beyond and then beyond that!

The journey to fulfill this mission started in 2007 with “showers in a box” being put together in the basement of our founder, LeAnn Morrissey. The showers in a box not only provided amazing must-haves for the moms and their babies, but also let these women and their families know they were not alone.

The support she received for these first showers in a box from individuals and companies, the gratitude of the mothers and the morale boost for the fathers were all LeAnn needed to realize that this was something worth doing again and again. Soon after, Operation Shower hosted its first group baby shower at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. The showers in a box were still there – but the element of a group party was added!

In 2020 when faced with the pandemic, we shifted to virtual, drive through and drive-in showers. We also started new shower box programs to meet the needs of military families across the country. Operation Shower continues to work to meet the military moms where they are to celebrate them and recognize their families for all they do for our country.

Operation Shower has now provided nearly 10,000 military moms with a baby shower! No matter how many showers we host, each and every time is a true honor. To the military families we support: Thank you for all you do for our country and your families – we love you!
